Takiya Cenci, a USC-bound senior at Clovis North High, won her first career title in the 400 meters in 54.01 seconds and contributed to another victory in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:45.38 at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Cenci became the first Clovis North female to win a state title since 2016 and the first from the Central Section to prevail in the 400 since 2015. She also took second in the 200-meter final in a wind-aided 23.78 seconds to help Clovis North finish second overall with 32 points.
