Junior Ashlyn Leath of North Clovis Running Club, representing Clovis North High, secured second place in the girls 5-kilometer championship race at the inaugural Nike Cross Regionals California at Woodward Park in Fresno. Leath clocked a personal-best 17:47.8, her first sub-18 performance at Woodward Park, to lift North Clovis Running Club to a 42-46 victory over Division 4 state champion JSerra TC.
