McKay Madsen, a junior at Clovis North High in California, won the boys discus throw competition with a 182-4 effort and took third in the shot put with a mark of 58-1 at the John Godina Throwers Invitational at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame High in California. Brayden Bitter, a senior at Clovis North, was second in the shot put at 58-1.50, in addition to placing third in the discus at 161-8.75.
